July, 2019
- Delivered a khutba on Friday, July 5th on the topic: “Islamic View of Religious Pluralism.”
- On occasion of the Friday Night Family Event on July 5th Br Mohammad Rafique Uddin who has recently joined our community gave a talk on the topic: “Scientific Indications in the Qur’an.”
- Sister Ashley, formerly a Christian, declared the ‘testimony of faith’ (shahadah) in the AMDA Masjid after Maghrib pryayer on Friday, July 5th.
- Called a meeting of ‘new converts to Islam’ at AMDA on Saturday, July 6th at 1:00 pm to have a friendly chat with them and to address any queries they had about Islam and Muslims. Br Amer Sufi (board member) helped in organizing the meeting.
- Delivered a khutba on Friday, July 12th at IONA in the city of Warren.
- Gave a talk on the occasion of high school graduation parties of children in our community on Wednesday, July 10th and Friday, July 12th at the Balkan American Community Center in the city of Troy.
- Helping Hands conducted a ‘Clothing Drive’ for the less fortunate (poor and needy) in Bangladesh on Saturday, July 13th at AMDA.
- Coordinated and organized the khateeb schedule for the three Eid al-Adha Prayers to be held at AMDA on Sunday, August 11th.
- Delivered two khutbas (1:30 pm -2:00 pm & 2:30 pm-3:00 pm) on Friday, July 26th on the topic: “Hajj – A Period of Reawakening of the Ummah.”
- Along with the intending pilgrims of the AMDA Hajj group – 2019, attended on Friday, July 26th a seminar on Hajj at IONA in the city of Warren.
- Delivered a short tafsir of few verses of the Qur’an after Salat ul-Fajr every day.
