Monthly Report
August, 2018
- Delivered a khutba on Friday, August 3rd on the topic: “Concept of Modesty from the Islamic Perspective.”
- Our guest speaker – Ms Valerie Taylor (Founder CRP Bangladesh) spoke at the Friday Family Night Event on August 3rd on the topic: “An Exemplary Institution to Take Care of His Creation.”
- Got in touch with Muslim Family Services (MSF) and coordinated with them to place boxes at the Masjid entrance for the purpose of collecting school supply items for the underprivileged students. This collaboration of AMDA with MSF was done after obtaining the Board’s approval.
- A Hajj seminar was conducted at AMDA on Saturday, August 4th between Asr and Maghrib prayers. The AMDA Hajj team of 16 was among the many intending pilgrims (travelling with the Amity Travel Hajj group – 2018) who attended the seminar.
- Delivered a khutba on Friday, August 10th on the topic: “Beware of Modern Day Idolatry.”
- Sent email to the board members advising them of the khateebs who will be giving khutbas at AMDA during the month of August, 2018.
- Conducted the Quranic Arabic Classes every Thursday.
- Delivered a short tafsir of few verses of the Qur’an after Salat ul Fajr every day, and after Salat ul Maghrib every Wednesday and Thursday.
- Proceeded for Hajj with the AMDA Hajj team on August 12 and returned on August 28.
