 September, 2016

 

·        Delivered a khutba on Friday, Sept 2 on the topic: “Merits of the First Ten Days of Dhul Hijjah.” 

 

·        Delivered a talk on the topic: “What is Shariah” on occasion of the Friday Family Night Event on Sept 2.  

 

·        Conducted Janazah prayer at AMDA Masjid for the deceased Abul Hanif after Zuhr prayer on Saturday, Sept 3.  

 

·      Gave a talk and made Dua with the congregants at AMDA Masjid for the deceased Abul Hanif after Zuhr prayers on Sunday, Sept 4.  

 

·        Delivered a khutba on Friday, Sept 9 on the topic: “Modern Day Idolatry.”

 

·        Delivered a khatira after Fajr prayer on Saturday, Sept 10 on the topic: “Poverty of the Soul.”

 

·        Led the Eid ul-Adha Salah and delivered the Eid ul-Adha Khutba on Monday, Sept 12.

 

·        Delivered a khutba on Friday, Sept 16 at IONA the topic: “Poverty of the Soul.”

 

·        Delivered a khatira after Fajr prayer on Saturday, Sept 17 on the topic: “Means of bringing barakah into our Lives.”

 

·    Compiled, edited, and finalized four brochures on different Islamic topics for publication by AMDA: (1) The Islamic Dress code: Hijab and Modesty; (2) The Status of Women in Islam’ (3) Ramadan: The Islamic Month of Fasting, and (4) Muhammad (pbuh). The brochures were designed and formatted by Sr. Tahsin Asjad.  

 

·     Delivered the first Jama’ah khutba on Friday, Sept 23 on the topic: “Concept of Virtue in Islam – Part 2.” Also delivered the second Jama’ah khutba on the same day on the topic: “Poverty of the Soul.”  

 

·        Delivered a khatira after Fajr prayer on Saturday, Sept 23 on the topic: “Misconceptions about Islam.”

 

·        AMDA’s second “Open House” was organized on Saturday, Sept 24.

 

·        The Secretary General of ISNA–Attorney Br. Hazem Bata delivered a khutba on Friday, Sept 30 on a topic related to the inclusion and accommodation of our Sisters in the activities of the Mosques.”

 

  Conducted the weekly Quran classes on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
