Conducted two classes every week in the Masjid to help students to learn Arabic for the purpose of understanding the Qur’an.
On Friday, Feb 6, delivered the Jumu’ah Khutba at IONA in the City of Warren, Michigan.
On the occasion of the Friday family Night Dinner Program on Feb 6, invited Br Omar Malik, the youth leader of the Islamic Organization of North America (IONA) as a guest speaker in order to inspire and motivate our youth by sharing his experiences with the ‘Youth of Ummah’ (YOU), a youth organization founded by him.
On Feb 7, arranged a meeting between trustees of AMDA’s Board and Imam Abdullah El-Amin of Muslim Center, Detroit to discuss the package of the full range of funeral services provided by his Center in partnership with ‘Rahman Funeral Home, Detroit.’ This was done to make available such services to the community as and when required.
Sisters Halaqa was held in the Masjid on Friday, Feb 13. Sister Sobia Hasan gave a talk on the topic: ‘Finding True Love – Marriage in Islam.’
On Saturday, Feb 14, visited the Muslim Center of Detroit to join students of our Sunday school and other members of our community who had gone there to participate in the Center’s ‘Soup Kitchen Program,’ a community service rendered to the poor and needy.
Transcripts of five lectures on Tafsir delivered by me in June/July 2013 in AMDA’s old premises were uploaded on AMDA’s website under the caption ‘Tafsir Transcripts.’
On Feb 19, suggested to AMDA Board to have a note made and posted on AMDA’s website regarding the funeral service packages available through AMDA’s designated funeral service providers.
