Delivered the regular weekly Friday khutbas.

Talked briefly to the congregation after Friday Prayers about the ‘Adopt a Tree’ Program launched by AMDA, and encouraged the congregants to participate whole-heartedly in this Sadaqah Jariyyah.

Edited and emailed transcripts of khutbas for uploading on AMDA’s website.

Delivered a talk during the Family Night Event on August 8 on the topic “Keeping Ramadan Alive the Rest of the Year”.

Prepared the draft of a Brochure on ‘Islam – Belief and Practices’ for perusal by AMDA’s Board and subsequent publication for free distribution to the members of the community.

Participated and gave a talk in a press conference held at IONA on August 13 to condemn the ISIS crisis and the carnage in Gaza. Participants included other Imams, the MMCC, representatives from the Chaldean Community, and others.

Resumed teaching the weekly Qur’anic Arabic Class after it was suspended during Ramadan, and for a while after Ramadan.

Submitted the ‘final draft’ of the ‘Marriage Certificate’ for approval by the Board.

Worked on my notes on Sirah for the purpose of giving a weekly lecture in the Masjid on the biography of the Prophet (SAW).

Discussed with CAIR Office Manager regarding proposed PITFA (presenting Islam to fellow Americans) & KYR (know your rights) presentations to be conducted by CAIR Michigan in the new AMDA Masjid, sometimes in October.

Prepared talk to be given in the khatira on Saturday, September 6.
