03-01-14 – Interacted with Sheikh Moiz Hasan, a visiting scholar who gave Khatira after Fajr prayers at AMDA Masjid. Got his contact information I order to share thoughts with him on religious and spiritual issues.
03-03-2014 – Conducted Arabic and Qur’an Class at my home with participation of members of the community.
03-03-14 – Invited Br Omar Malik, the youth leader of the Islamic Organization of North America (IONA) to join us in our Family Night Dinner on Friday, March 7. He agreed on my request to motivate our youth and share with them his experiences in establishing IONA’s Youth Wing called the ‘Youth of Ummah’ (YOU). Informed Brothers Muhammad Azim, Moin Asjad, and Javid Khatri about this development
03-04-14 – Edited and emailed the transcript of my Friday Khutba on the topic: ‘Tafsir of Ayah 90 of Surat An-Nahl’ that I delivered on February 28 for uploading on AMDA’s website.
03-05-14 – Delivered a lecture on Tafsir of the Qur’an after Isha prayers.
03-06-14 – Conducted the first class for the course entitled, ‘Learning Arabic to Understand the Qur’an’. The class was held in the AMDA Masjid.
03-07-14 – Delivered Friday Khutba at the IONA Masjid in Warren.
03-07-14 – Participated in the Monthly Family-Night Dinner Event. Welcomed Br Dawood Zwink, the guest speaker. He is the Executive Director of Michigan Muslim Community Council (MMCC). He introduced MMCC to the community and talked about ways for the diverse Muslim communities in Michigan to unite for the common purpose of promoting Islamic values and the best of American values.
03-07-14 – Br Omar Malik, the youth leader of the Islamic Organization of North America (IONA) joined us in our Family Night Dinner on Friday, March 7. He motivated our youth and shared with them his experiences in establishing IONA’s Youth Wing called the ‘Youth of Ummah’ (YOU). Br Zeeshan of our community is now working with our youth to hold our first youth group meeting on Friday, March 28.

03-12-14 – The scheduled lecture on Tafsir of the Qur’an after Maghrib prayers was not held because of people not turning up because of inclement weather.
03-13-14 – Conducted the class for the course entitled, ‘Learning Arabic to Understand the Qur’an’ in AMDA Masjid after Maghrib prayers.
03-14-14 – Delivered Friday Khutba on the topic: ‘The Islamic Culture’.
03-15-14 – Gave a talk at the ‘Balkan American Community Center’ on occasion of the Fundraising dinner for AMDA Masjid.
03-15-14 – Emailed class notes and ‘Assignment for the Week’ to students of AMDA’s Qur’an Class.
03-15-14 – Edited and emailed the transcript of my Friday Khutba on the topic: ‘The Islamic Culture’ that I delivered on March 14 for uploading on AMDA’s website.
03-17-14 – Discussed with Brothers Muhammad Azim, Iftikhar Chishti, and Zeeshan Rizwan the prospects of holding the first formal group meeting for AMDA’s youth. The tentative date for the same has been fixed for March 28.
03-19-14 – Delivered a lecture on Tafsir of the Qur’an after Maghrib prayers.
03-20-14 – Conducted the weekly class for the course entitled, ‘Learning Arabic to Understand the Qur’an’ in AMDA Masjid after Maghrib prayers.
03-21-14 – Delivered Friday Khutba (2nd Jama’ah) on the topic: ‘The Islamic Culture’.
03-21-14 – Emailed class notes and ‘Assignment for the Week’ to students of AMDA’s Qur’an Class.
03-26-14 – Delivered a lecture on Tafsir of the Qur’an after Maghrib prayers.
03-26-14 – Gave my observations regarding the proposed inscription of verses of the Qur’an in the New AMDA Masjid.
03-27-14 – Conducted the weekly class for the course entitled, ‘Learning Arabic to Understand the Qur’an’ in AMDA Masjid after Maghrib prayers.
03-27-14 – Emailed ‘Imam Office Hours’ regarding my availability in the Masjid in order to answer queries on religious issues raised by community members.
03-28-14 – Emailed class notes and ‘Assignment for the Week’ to students of AMDA’s Qur’an Class.
03-28-14 – Delivered Friday Khutba on the topic: ‘Surat al-Asr’.
03-29-14 – Delivered khatira after leading Fajr prayers in the Masjid.
03-29-14 – Had a lengthy discussion with Br Zeeshan Rizwan after Isha Prayers regarding the proposed ‘Youth Group’ that met in the Masjid on March 28 and that would meet again in April.
03-30-14 – Participated in a conference entitled ‘A Shared Future: Muslims and Jews in Metro-Detroit’ held at the University of Michigan, Dearborn.
03-31-14 – Edited and emailed the transcript of my Friday Khutba on the topic: ‘Surat al-Asr’ that I delivered on March 28for uploading on AMDA’s website.
