02-01-14 – Delivered Khatira after Fajr prayers on the topic: “Role of Masjid in Islam’.
02-02-14 – Edited and emailed the transcript of my Friday Khutba on the topic: “The Prophet as a Murabbi” delivered on Jan 31 for uploading on AMDA’s website.
02-02-14 – Conducted Arabic and Qur’an Class at my home with participation of members of the community.
02-03-14 – Made a proposal that effective March, 2014, a weekly ‘Qur’an cum Arabic Class’ will be conducted in the AMDA Masjid for those members of the community who are serious to understand the meaning of the Qur’an in the language of the Qur’an. The proposal was emailed to Brothers Muhammad Azim, Moin Asjad, and Javid Khatri for their consideration and approval by the Board.
02-04-14 – Announced to the community the timings of my availability in the Imam’s Office in the Masjid and encouraged congregants in the Masjid to introduce themselves, share their queries and concerns, and exchange their views with me on religious and spiritual issues.
02-05-14 – Delivered a lecture on Tafsir of the Qur’an after Isha prayers.
02-07-14 – Delivered Friday Khutba on the topic: ‘The Islamic Worldview’.
02-07-14 – Participated in the Monthly Family-Night Program. Interacted with several youth in our community. Encouraged them to form the ‘AMDA’s Youth Wing’. Working to get this actualized.
02-08-14 – Delivered a Khatira after Fajr prayers on the topic “Qard-e- Hasan’ (Goodly Loan) with a view to encourage members of the community to actively participate in AMDA’s drive to raise funds for the ongoing construction of AMDA Masjid.
02-08-14 – Took an initiative to form the ‘Youth Wing’ of AMDA. Interacted with Br Omar Malik, IONA’s youth leader and requested him to interact with AMDA’s prospective youth leader—Br Zeeshan Rizwan as a first step to the proper formation and structuring of a youth group within AMDA.
02-09-14 – Edited and emailed the transcript of my Friday Khutba delivered on February 07 on the topic: ‘The Islamic Worldview’ for uploading on AMDA’s website.
02-09-14 – Conducted Arabic and Qur’an Class at my home with participation of members of the community.
02-12-14 – Delivered a lecture on Tafsir of the Qur’an after Isha prayers.
02-13-14 – Advised AMDA through email about commencement of the weekly Qur’an cum Arabic Class with effect from Thursday, March 6, 2014 in the AMDA Masjid.
02-14-14 – Delivered Friday Khutba on the topic: Shahadah ‘alan-Nas (bearing witness to the truth before mankind).
02-16-14 – Edited and emailed the transcript of my Friday Khutba delivered on February 14 on the topic: ‘Shahada ‘alan-Naas’ for uploading on AMDA’s website.
02-18-14 – Confirmed with Zaman International about AMDA’s meeting with them on Saturday, Feb 22, 2014 at 9.00 am, and advised AMDA through email about the same.
02-19-14 – Participated in the Imam’s Council Meeting at Muslim Community of Western Suburbs (MCWS) in Canton, Michigan.
02-19-14 – Delivered a lecture on Tafsir of the Qur’an after Isha prayers.
02-21-14 – On behalf of the members of AMDA’s Advisory Board, Board of Trustees, Board of Representatives, and the Standing Committee, formally invited Br Dawood Zwink, Executive Director of Michigan Muslim Community Council (MMCC) to our Friday Night Family Dinner on Friday, March 7, 2014 at 7.30 pm to hear from him about the activities of MMCC so as to learn about MMCC and its aspirations to effectuate cooperation, coordination, and cohesion in Michigan’s mosques and its diverse Muslim communities.
02-21-14 – Delivered Friday Khutba on the topic: Tazkiyat un-Nafs (purification of the soul).

02-22-14 – Conducted an interactive participation of members of the community after Fajr prayers, which was followed by a community breakfast in the Masjid.
02-22-14 – A team of ten AMDA community members including myself had a very fruitful meeting with the officials of ‘Zaman International’ in their Dearborn office. We’ll be following up with them to do what AMDA and Zaman can do in tandem to help humanity.
02-23-14 – Conducted Arabic and Qur’an Class at my home with participation of members of the community.
02-26-14 – Delivered a lecture on Tafsir of the Qur’an after Isha prayers.
02-27-14 – Reviewed the proposal made by Br Zeeshan Rizwan for a Youth Halaqa Program at AMDA, and forwarded the same with my comments to Brothers Muhammad Azim, Moin Asjad, Javid Khatri, and Amin Varis for their comments and suggestion.
02-28-14 – Delivered Friday Khutba on the topic: ‘Tafsir of Verse 90 of Surat an-Nahl’.
02-28-14 – Launched the ‘Sandwich Sponsorship Drive’ whereby members of the community will sponsor the cost of sandwiches ($ 75.00) that are served after Jumu’ah Prayers and the sale proceeds of which goes to AMDA. Alhamdulillah, eight community members signed their pledges for the eight weeks of March and April, 2014. In sha Allah, from now on, this will be an ongoing project.
Other Activities: Lead all prayers all seven days except for the Maghrib and Isha prayers on five days that are led by another Imam.
