01-19-14 – Visited “The First Presbyterian Church at Royal Oak, MI” from 4.00 to 7 pm to learn about their activities, to take tour of the church, and to share food and fellowship at a potluck supper. Among other activities, their members and volunteers help the homeless in their area by building homes for families in need, package foods for non-profit agencies and charities that feed the poor and hungry, and help package medical supplies for use around the world. This church was established in 1914 and was celebrating its centenary this year. The place looked to be very well managed and organized. The Pastor, other members of the Ministry, and the lay congregants were very polite and courteous. We may invite them after we move to our new location.

01-22-14 – Participated in the Imam’s Council Meeting at the Islamic Center of Detroit (ICD). Introduced AMDA to the Imams and other participants. Met Br Dawood Zwink, Executive Director of Michigan Muslim Community Council (MMCC), and requested him to include AMDA as one of the members of MMCC. He welcomed the idea and said that he would be honored to meet the members of the Board of Trustees of AMDA to pursue this matter. This step may well be a spring board for AMDA to foster mutual relationships with other community masajid and Islamic centers in Michigan.
