Joint Meeting – Septemper 2011

Attendees are: Moin Asjad, Muhammad Azim, Ferdous Ghazi, Rubab F. Huq, Anwar Hussain, Mujibus Khan, Rafique Foflonker, Abul Hashem Molla, Mahiuddin Ahmed, Moin Mirza, Habeeb Syed.

The following topics were discussed and proposals made and adopted by the members present.
1.Overview: 1st agenda item in each meeting will be Approval of the previous Meeting Minutes/Notes.
2. Diversity: Board members should get involved in embracing the new ethnic community members and introduce them to other community members.
3a. Masjid Construction: Groundbreaking should be done before end of this year to get real estate tax exemption. This is a requirement from the city.
3b. Finance: The board team has decided not to make direct calls to donors regarding Pledge payments. Instead, Board team agreed to send letters reminding the payment. As approved by Board, the Finance team should mail the 2010 finance summary to all 2010 AMDA members
4.. Khutba & Speech on Website – Board was update regarding board representatives discussion with Imam Salie. Many options discussed. Finally, the board agreed to postpone the discussion on this topic for one more year. Board will discuss on this topic in June, 2012.
5. Lessons Learned – Fundraising, Ramadan Events – 22 lesson learned was captured. Seperate discussion will be held to formulate action item from the lessons learned.
